By Annie Catherine
What good is it
If it does not carry a number
I cannot count your days
Seconds long after a roll of thunder
You are sweet and you are good
Had you come from the sea
There on that shore
For a many I would have stood
Although it sparkles a most ravishing blue
Why must the rain keep tab on its unlucky due?
Are you only good when you are new?
Or might a lifetime of rich longing
Forever change the taste of your sweet dew
