By Annie Catherine
What a beautiful time to be
Softly, raining leaves begin to dress the streets
They know where they must go
Unlike the warm blanket of time, they descend slow
When night comes they cool with ease
Growing thinner to catch the breeze
What a beautiful time to be
Like blazing embers
That range in tempers
These leaves are meant for all
What a beautiful time to be
They make a path
That I will never know again
Perhaps another will make it begin
What I cannot recall
Will come back to me in fall
Oh what a beautiful time to be
